چکیده
Ascochyta blight (caused by rabiei) is an important disease of chickpea. Mating type distribution, genetic diversity and population structure A. rabiei isolates from western Iran, using specific matting primers, ISSR SSR molecular markers. Two mating types were identified, with the 57% belonging to MAT1-1. Ten markers produced 78 polymorphic bands average polymorphism information content (PIC) value 0.33. Seven showed high allelic variation (four seven alleles) PIC 0.61. The generated dendrogram neighbor joining approach marker data grouped in three clusters. Combined model-based analysis divided into two distinct populations. No significant correlation was found between geographical origins their patterns, although North Kermanshah Kurdistan closely grouped, most Lorestan clustered a separate group. This relative spatial locations grouping indicated within populations no gene flow distinctly regions. suggests nece0ssity continuous monitoring order design effective chickpea breeding strategies control disease.

Mating Type Groups of Ascochyta rabiei (Teleomorph: Didymella rabiei), the Causal Agent of Chickpea Blight in Central Anatolia
The distribution of mating types of Ascochyta rabiei (teleomorph: Didymella rabiei) was studied on isolates collected from chickpea growing areas of Central Anatolia. Mating type assessments of 45 isolates from 6 different provinces were conducted under laboratory conditions. After keeping for 5-6 weeks, the pseudothecial development and ascospore production were observed on chickpea stem piece...

The Detection and Characterization of QoI-Resistant Didymella rabiei Causing Ascochyta Blight of Chickpea in Montana
Ascochyta blight (AB) of pulse crops (chickpea, field pea, and lentils) causes yield loss in Montana, where 1.2 million acres was planted to pulses in 2016. Pyraclostrobin and azoxystrobin, quinone outside inhibitor (QoI) fungicides, have been the choice of farmers for the management of AB in pulses. However, a G143A mutation in the cytochrome b gene has been reported to confer resistance to Qo...
متن کاملAn Update on Genetic Resistance of Chickpea to Ascochyta Blight
Ascochyta blight (AB) caused by Ascochyta rabiei (Pass.) Labr. is an important and widespread disease of chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.) worldwide. The disease is particularly severe under cool and humid weather conditions. Breeding for host resistance is an efficient means to combat this disease. In this paper, attempts have been made to summarize the progress made in identifying resistance sour...
متن کاملPopulation structure and mating system of Ascochyta rabiei in Tunisia: evidence for the recent introduction of mating type 2
The population structure of Ascochyta rabiei (teleomorph: Didymella rabiei ) in Tunisia was estimated among five populations sampled from the main chickpea growing regions using simple sequence repeat markers (SSR) and a mating type ( MAT ) marker. Mating type 2 isolates ( MAT1-2 ) had reduced genetic and genotypic diversity relative to mating type 1 isolates ( MAT1-1 ). This result, coupled wi...
